Brown Bag Distribution for Lutheran Community Services!
Help us Support Refugee Resettlement with Lutheran Community Services!
On Saturday, September 16, at 11:00am we plan to distribute empty bags in a local neighborhood near our Church with a list attached of items needed by Refugee Families served by our Ministry Partner, Lutheran Community Services. We will work in groups to place the empty bags on porches in our area, asking for neighbors to fill the bags with items listed as they are willing and able.
We will gather at Prince of Peace a week later on Saturday, September 23, at 11:00am to go out in groups to pick up the filled bags left by our neighbors. The following week we will sort, organize, and then deliver the items to Lutheran Community Services.
Refugee Families continue to escape from conflict-torn areas of the world seeking safety and opportunity for a better life. Lutheran Community Services is one of the key agencies in the U.S. supporting families through the difficult cultural, language, and economic transition to a new life in America. Your support for this ministry is vital to their success!
